Theatre for all the Family ~Wallace & Gromit’s Musical Marvels

Wallace and Gromit’s Musical Marvels is a theatre show suitable for all the family. We were Kindly gifted tickets to the Sheffield show in exchange for an honest review.

There is just something about the theatre, it’s grand and inviting. I love sitting down waiting for the show to start. We were sat in the upper circle and had a perfect view of the stage.

The first part of the show had an interactive story with Wallace and Gromit on the big screen, a funny dramatic host and the amazing orchestra. The host played a good part, he was funny, could sing and played a musical instrument, very talented! Hearing the orchestra play the show theme tune was magical, it sounded so authentic and everyone was clapping. There was also music not linked to the show, our favourite was Bohemian Rhapsody. There was singing, dancing, intense music and a feel good atmosphere.

The second half of the show was “The Wrong Trousers” played on the big screen with the orchestra playing in the background for added drama and suspense. Wallace and Gromit did not disappoint, the duo ensured there was drama and music all round.

The show was pitched for all the family, my son is 7 and he really enjoyed it. He loved that the orchestra were all dressed up, we kept laughing at the cheese dancing away. There was a good mix of Wallace and Gromit to live music. I think he was expecting the duo to come to life on stage, who knows that could make for a future show!

One word to sum up the show, it was absolutely ‘crackers’. Thank you to Carrot Productions for inviting us along.
