LOCATION

Located on the beautiful island of Rhodes, in the picturesque town of Kiotari, Lindos Imperial Resort and Spa is just a short drive from the historic village of Lindos, known for its ancient acropolis and charming cobblestone streets. The transfer from the airport is around 90 minutes if using a tour operator. We hired a car and the drive was just under an hour. I would recommend hiring a car to explore the whole island, there are plenty of companies situated in the airport terminal meaning you can walk out of the airport and drive straight out.

Main Restaurant: Belvedere

This buffet restaurant serves a wide variety of dishes from around the world, ensuring there’s something for everyone. There is table service for drinks then you help yourself to as many plates as you want. Always lot of choice, even for fussy eaters and the fresh fruit selection was a massive hit with my boys. I personally loved the option of a glass of fizz at breakfast, after all its 5pm somewhere.

If I was being picky I would have liked the fresh cooking stations to take orders rather than omelettes being made up I like to order my own when on holiday.

A La Carte Options:

• Al Fresco – A taste of Italy with classic dishes
• Meze Meze – Traditional Greek cuisine
• Wok Gourmand – Exotic Asian flavours (my favourite)
• Tapas – Traditional and contemporary tapas with a spicy twist
• Ammos – Seafood using locally grown, fresh ingredients
• στΚ Grill – Dishes based on locally grown ingredients and playful inventiness

We choose to eat in the Wok and OTK Grill, both were very lovely the sushi was one of the best I’ve ever had and even the kids tried some which is usually unheard of. The melting chocolate bomb was my favourite dessert of the entire holiday. They don’t cram people in meaning you get a laid back atmosphere with a personal service.

There are also laid back eateries for snacks throughout the day including a noddle bar, Souvlakeria, creperie, beach bar and ice cream. The boys enjoyed toasties on the beach and our room was across from the beach bar which was perfect for us in the afternoon when using our private pool.

For stays of a minimum of 7 nights: The All-Inclusive package includes dinner at 3 different themed restaurants of your choosing.

The drinks menu is very extensive with a long list of cocktails and spirits. Our favourite bar was the main lobby, perfect for enjoying a cocktail while playing cards or taking in the views on the terrace. They also had evening entertainment, you can check the events boards for a list of what is going on throughout your stay.

If you fancy upgrading to a Gold Band, you can get premium branded spirits for €12 per day per person.

ACCOMMODATION

Choose from a variety of spacious and modern accommodations, including family rooms and suites with separate living areas. Each room is tastefully decorated and equipped with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Enjoy stunning views of the sea or gardens from your private balcony or terrace, creating a relaxing retreat for the whole family.

We stayed in a Beachfront Family Suite with private pool, I loved waking up to the ocean views and laying on a sun lounger listening to waves crashing upon the sand. The suite included two separate rooms, a bedroom and a living room with two sofa beds, a spacious bathroom and a terrace that opens up to your own private swimming pool. It was nice to have separate rooms to the boys rather than all be in one room as it gave us space and when I woke up earlier I could sneak onto the terrace without waking the whole family.

There was a coffee machine and fridge with bottled water in the living room. You also get robes (even the kids), for me these little touches make Lindos Imperial stand out, it’s like a home from home.

1. Visit Lindos:
   Just a short drive away from the resort, the historic village of Lindos is a must-visit destination. Explore the ancient acropolis perched on a hill overlooking the town, wander through the charming cobblestone streets lined with whitewashed buildings, and visit the beautiful St. Paul’s Bay for a swim in crystal-clear waters.
2. Beach Activities:
   Enjoy the stunning beaches near the resort, including Kiotari Beach, where you can relax on the golden sands, swim in the turquoise waters, and try out water sports such as paddleboarding, windsurfing, and snorkeling.
3. Waterpark Fun:
   For a day of family-friendly fun, head to the nearby Water Park Faliraki, located about a 40-minute drive from the resort. With a variety of water slides, pools, and attractions, it’s the perfect place to cool off and have a blast.
4. Explore Rhodes Town:
   Take a day trip to Rhodes Town, the capital of the island, and immerse yourself in its rich history and vibrant culture. Visit the medieval Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, stroll along the cobblestone streets, and explore the ancient ruins, museums, and bustling markets.

   Embark on a boat trip from nearby Pefkos or Lindos to explore the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean Sea. Discover hidden coves, swim in secluded bays, and enjoy the stunning coastal scenery of Rhodes from a different perspective.

Family Friendly Day Trips: Butterflies Valley is home to thousands of the Rhodes subspecies of the Jersey tiger moth (Euplagia quadripunctaria rhodosensis) that cover the entire landscape after the wet season (late May) due to the high humidity in the area. Farma of Rhodes Petting Zoo also comes recommended, you can play, feed or take a selfie with your favorite furry friend.
